Thread Details

After spending almost an hour this morning going through the paper ads and online ads of seven different grocery/drug stores looking for a deal on Kellogg's PopTarts, I got really frustrated and thought, why don't we have a thread in the DS Forum for deal seeking on a particular item? I know there is a "Help Me Find a Deal" forum on SD but most of those in that forum are looking for tech deals, car deals, phone deals, etc. Besides, most of the DS folks never venture outside of the DS forum anyway.

You should limit your deal-seeking request to grocery/drugstore items only, i.e, milk, cereal, diapers, shampoo, toothpaste, etc. No car batteries, tires, phones, computers, appliances, blah, blah, blah......

Anyhow, if the Mods think this thread is a waste of space, they can just delete it. Big Grin

So please dont Bash me but I was thinking of using l'oreal kids' shampoo as body wash too for our LOs but DH doesn't want to. So I need a deal for super cheap to free kids body wash. Not picky on brand so suggestions are very welcomed. TIA for the help.

Location: md dc metro area
Store: Target WM kmart giant Shoprite safeway CVS Wags RA (if I have to)
Can you wash your kids in bubble bath? The HUGE bottle of CVS bubble bath is about $3.57. It's about 3 times the size of regular sized body wash.

I wouldn't bash you for using shampoo as body wash, makes sense to me! woot

Looking for a deal on Planters cashews to use the $1/1 Peelies that expire in the coming week (peelie for mixed nuts or cashews).
Stores I have available are Publix, Kroger, Target, Dollar General, CVS, Wags, Dollar Tree, Rite Aid, and WM.

ETA: CVS has them on sale Sunday 2/$9. Luckily, my store turns prices on early and CVS sent me a $3 off $15 for the store, so I paid $11 plus tax for 4 cans of Planters Deluxe Cashews.

Your husband would hate me then! I use shampoo or baby wash interchangeably all the time... But i only have J&J stuff so it's all pretty gentle.

I don't go there every anymore (since they limited doubling so much) but maybe check Kmart for a sale on J&J products w/ doubles and use the $0.75/1 from the 1/6 inserts?

Caveat is I am just saying this with no idea if this will work out. laugh out loud

I was just about to mention this. Kmart does have a spend $30 get $10 CRT offer right now for J&J products among others. Good through 2/02. I also found $1 peelies on some of them. Wink

Trying to figure out the prices of the stuff without having to actually go to my disgusting local K-Mart. Cannot believe the place is still in business... I was sure 4 years ago when SUPER DOUBLES were big that they were going out of business.

Anyway -- online I see 2 bottles of the regular baby wash:

9oz for $2.29
15oz for $4.19

If the 9oz qualifies for the CRT, will be a pretty good deal. If not, it's meh, especially if the J&J coupons have a restriction on how many per customer/transaction/etc. Does KMart track like CVS? Or all in one go?

The 9oz does qualify but there were only 4 of that size at my Kmart. They do not track, it's all in one go. Also might help that Stayfree is included in this promo so I used the BOGO q to get me closer to $30. I'm pretty sure Aveeno was included as well but I can't seem to find any mention of this deal on kmart's site so I can't be sure.

Looking for a deal on green tea (tea bags). Unilever just came out with the $0.50/1 coupons on Lipton tea bags but I am having a hard time matching up sales for it on green tea. Also have $0.75/1 & $1/1 Celestial Seasonins coupons. I normally pay no more than $2 for 40 bags. Please do not recommend cheap tea bags from Asian grocery stores, Big Lots, or Dollar Tree. I don't trust food from China.

Have access to the following stores before the Lipton Q expires:
CVS
Rite Aid
Walgreens
Kroger
Giant Eagle
Shop n Save
Bottom Dollar Foods
Target
Walmart
Kmart

Thanks.

This week Wags has 42 ct. Prilosec for $25.99 and you get a $3 RR. There's a $1/1 coupon in the 1/27 P&G.

CVS has a generic heartburn relief med for BOGO 50% off but I don't know anything about the effectiveness.

You also might want to check out THIS thread. It's for trading stockpile items. Tell folks what you are looking for and offer something up to them. Oftentimes, people on SD will just offer stuff up as a RAOK. heart
