Thread Details

After spending almost an hour this morning going through the paper ads and online ads of seven different grocery/drug stores looking for a deal on Kellogg's PopTarts, I got really frustrated and thought, why don't we have a thread in the DS Forum for deal seeking on a particular item? I know there is a "Help Me Find a Deal" forum on SD but most of those in that forum are looking for tech deals, car deals, phone deals, etc. Besides, most of the DS folks never venture outside of the DS forum anyway.

You should limit your deal-seeking request to grocery/drugstore items only, i.e, milk, cereal, diapers, shampoo, toothpaste, etc. No car batteries, tires, phones, computers, appliances, blah, blah, blah......

Anyhow, if the Mods think this thread is a waste of space, they can just delete it. Big Grin

I'm looking for deals on cat food (not for us as our boy is allergic to cats but for a friend that ended up taking care of a few abandoned ones)... any store that you can think of is okay. just want to get as many deal choices for him/her. Are there even high value cat food coupons lately? Im not familiar on where to start as we do not have pets. Any help will be truly appreciated.
If your friend is a member (or has a friend who is a member) at Costco, their 25 lb. bag of Kirkland maintenance dry cat food is $18.xx here (maybe cheaper in other areas). It's $.74/lb for high-quality food (no corn, no gluten, no by-products, chicken and chicken meal are the first two ingredients).

Someone may have a better deal for you. I don't even look at any other kind of cat food anymore, since our picky eaters love this and I can't change their food around or else have to deal with tummy troubles.

I will let him know about this. I heard back and he mentioned walmart and petco. Costco sounds good specially if it doesn't require too much couponing (he doesn't coupon but Im trying to teach him and willing to send him some if we can find good deals)... 25lb bag is good right? he has 6 indoor cats right now and another 3 that are outdoor from what I heard. All abandoned and he is looking for homes for them but while he has them, I want to help at least cut the cost of food the those kitties. Thanks you fitnessfan. any option is another choice for him to be able to stretch those dollars.

cvs has it this week for $4.44 for the 14ct. if you receive their email coupons, might be a good deal. HTH
I want to try those pods. I am tired of the liquid ones.

Is that deal still going on?

I need to buy a prepaid gas card tomorrow. Are there any promotional gift with purchase or extra percent off deals at a grocery store?

Can someone please suggest about some good deal on olive oil? I have all major stores: target, cvs, walgreens, kroger, sams club and costco. Thanks.
