Thread Details

After spending almost an hour this morning going through the paper ads and online ads of seven different grocery/drug stores looking for a deal on Kellogg's PopTarts, I got really frustrated and thought, why don't we have a thread in the DS Forum for deal seeking on a particular item? I know there is a "Help Me Find a Deal" forum on SD but most of those in that forum are looking for tech deals, car deals, phone deals, etc. Besides, most of the DS folks never venture outside of the DS forum anyway.

You should limit your deal-seeking request to grocery/drugstore items only, i.e, milk, cereal, diapers, shampoo, toothpaste, etc. No car batteries, tires, phones, computers, appliances, blah, blah, blah......

Anyhow, if the Mods think this thread is a waste of space, they can just delete it. Big Grin

This is a great thread, MsGal...Thanks!! Smilie

I'm looking for deals to use with the following coupons:
SNIP***B1G1 Cesar Meaty Selects Cans; Up to $1.49 exp. 11/25/12 (RP 9/30/12)
** I haven't found the cans of Meaty selects anywhere. I know they are a new item and am wondering if anyone has seen these cans??

I have Kmart,Target,Walmart, RA,CVS & Walgreens. Also grocery stores are Stop & Shop, Shaws, & Market Basket. Tia
Petco & PetsMart carry the Cesar Meaty Selects. Haven't seen them in any other retailer & I have all the big chains too.

Still have my Petco receipt on me ( a % coupon printed on the bottom)
CES DOG 10OZ BEEF 1.59 each

hmm, Los Angeles is HCOLA but I guess Boston is too

You know those meaty selects are exactly the same product as the smaller 3oz plastic trays? I think they just started selling them so you won't feel like an idiot feeding those 3oz trays to a 70 pound dog

Yeah, my lab mix wants the same food as my dautchie Big Grin

This is a great idea! I am looking for a deal on Keurig K-Cups. I got into the Keurig Houseparty and now I am seeing how pricey these things are. I love the convenience of them though so I figure if there are deals out there I just have to find them! Also I am looking at the reusable k-cups but am on the fence about which one to get because they all have mixed reviews.

just a comment.

What may be a deal to one person (just starting out couponing) may not be considered a deal for others. My buy price for boxes of cereal is $1 or less a box, but I have a friend that buys at $3 a box (which to me is not a deal).
CVS this week has:
Honeynut Cheerios $.50/1 printable coupons on coupons.com (printed from Swagbucks, so another 10 SB's when redemption gets back to SB's) plus $.50/1 Savingstar ends today!
Total -$1/1 peelies from previous purchases
Multi-Grain Peanut Butter Cheerios -$1/1 coupons cut out of previously purchased boxes
and others.

Made the Total and PB Multi-grain Cheerios $.88 and one box of Honeynut Cheerios.

I also have the $10/50 coupon printing on the bottom of my receipt, so will get another 20 cents off of a box.

That's not because the DS folks venture out on their own ... they were recruited. LMAO

FTR, I'd like to add that I venture out of DS every day. Too often, actually. In fact, I think they should shut down the Lounge ... it often interferes with my 3-D life. Annoyed

Several months ago I got a year's supply for both of my boys on the AirOptix through Walgreens.com. They were 20% off, had free shipping and I was able to get in on the Manufacturer's Rebate as well.

The best thing to do is call them and place the order over the phone. I tried placing it online and got very confused.

How about Cat food or supplies... Dog food would be okay, too. But cat food is what I'm always searching for.

I'm from the Chicago area.
PetSmart has started their annual $5 Holiday Bucks when you purchase certain Purina and Hill's Science Diet brands, limit one brand per transaction. I haven't done it yet this year, but last year you could use the $5 on your next purchase. I think PetCo's $5/$25 is this weekend or next, so if your PetSmart takes competitor coupons you should be able to make a great deal.

I'm forever looking for Purina Cat Chow/Kitten Chow deals/coupons, so this is a nice one I can stock up on some food for very little oop.

If you have preferred brands, post here and I'll see if I can help you some more.

Hmm, this is the first year I have a PetsMart within walking distance. Of course the Petco is also within walking distance laugh out loud

Don't have a cat but I am going to keep an eye out for dog clearance toys & snacks. Noticed PetsMart had the halloween squeakers on 75% off BEFORE Halloween.

What I don't understand --- I signed up with PetsMart & Petco. I get huge amounts of emails BUT I never get notice of the freebie store coupons that pop up on the Freebie forum here at SD. Anyway, it seems like each chain gives out at least one free can/tray of dog &/or cat food per month per person (loyalty card) with coupon.
Are you getting any notices of those giveaways?

If you PM me your address, I could send you a bunch of cat coupons, if you like. wave
