in installed $15 copy of win8 yesterday and changed back to 7. I personally think its horrible as well. so i wouldnt be surprised if there are a lot of people whom dislike win8.
the app portion of it is nothing special and should only be good for tablets, not laptops. unless they come up with some cool aps? i dont know.
i thought it was a total waste of memory.
LOL. and to install start button using external software. GOOD ONE.
Contrast that to all those Atom CPUs and I think you can tell which CPU is better. The Asus vivobook has great capacity for performance for the value of a small form factor, 11" lappie at a $499 price point, this is almost unbeatable as far as I can tell for the price.
PS the Microsoft store website now has it for $499
This is OOS from the MS store. Also the MS store version, while similar, seems to be updated more so than the BestBuy version. The BB version is a 2nd gen core i3 where as the MS store one is a 3rd gen core i3
ahhhh! I can't figure out why this vivobook won't boot from a flash drive to install windows 7. I've tried a bunch of different things (including bios boot management, windows 8 advanced restart, etc), but it just won't boot from the flash drive (although it does recognize it). The flash drive works perfectly fine in other computers.
