The blatant abuse of the various student and professional software discount programs is even worse. Microsoft specifically said that they curtailed TechNet benefits due so much abuse. That's per computer. More computers means more coupons! The big advantage of doing it remote control is that you can just copy and paste the link to the coupon into the web browsers, and do it fast too. Otherwise you'd have to do a lot of extra typing. Shoot, even if you had to buy an old computer for $50-100 for extra coupons, over the course of a year you can easily recoup the cost and then some. These aren't high value coupons, with all the $1+ ones that come out, and the sheer volume of $.25 - $.50 ones, a family of four can easily save enough money monthly to justify picking up a couple of broken screen laptops specifically for coupon printing. |

As for coupon fraud, I have a huge problem with it. It leads to stores refusing to accept IP's all together due to not getting reimbursed for fake or copied coupons which is why I did post my rant about coupon fraud. There are tons of legit ways to get legit coupons online, why resort to "scanning" it and copying it and ruining it for everyone. OF COURSE THE VERY SAME PEOPLE LIKE YOU are too busy trying to implicate posters like me in some other ruse, which simply is NOT THE CASE.

It's pretty telling that I didn't have to call you a "Bozo", laugh at you and then look "cool" afterward to set you off. I didn't even had to target you specifically, just quote your words and use some capital letters to imply you were targeted. So, going to ante up and go even more nuclear? Or are you going to stop, think, and look in the mirror? Consider the many folks out there willing and able to contribute to SlickDeals who are discouraged from sharing those deals when they're attacked, or see others attacked. (Calling people names and then laughing at them is an attack.) The deal they DON'T post might be one that you could have used. Whether you can "take it" or not, don't dish it out. All that said, you contribute a great deal to SD (much more than I have). I personally have benefited from your posts. And, well, thank you for sharing. I'm going to be at my non-profit client today, and I'm sure they'll appreciate the bag of pens I'm bringing. Most of their funding is very targeted and cannot be used for things like office supplies, so they're always running short of this and that. |

I can take it if it's a valid issue, you created one that was UNTRUE, BOGUS and a flat out lie. I've never posted or advocated a "cart trick" that wasn't legitimate. The posting of scanning/copying coupons is indeed ILLEGAL to do and does qualify as coupon fraud to use those copies. Of course, you're too busy trying to make a name for yourself in this thread and talk out of your posterior regions in the process. |

The point isn't what you can take, it's the dishing out that's a problem and your reply just reinforces the point. I'm not calling you names. I'm not saying that you are a bad person. No yelling, no shouting, no ridicule, no tantrum. I'm criticising your actions, and giving reasons for that criticism. If you object, give reasons and facts. Attacking people just says that you haven't got anything real to say. No points, no facts, no logic, nothing but name calling. Oh, and as for the "making a name" thing... Huh? This isn't a playground dude. No one will remember either of us five minutes after skipping this post. Your attacks don't just reduce your chances of seeing a deal, they reduce mine. To quote the talking heads, "It's a pocket book issue." Take a chill pill, stop attacking people, thicken your skin up, calm down. Get it? Anyway, I'm going to leave you with the last word (whatever your reply is). You win, go yell at someone else, I've got work to do. |
