Use "MORE15" for 15% off and spend $25 after discounts for free shipping. 8 x 6 oz cans and 3 x 16 oz bags were $25.60 + tax (2/$3.79 x 4 + $4.99 x 3 = $30.13 - 15% = $25.19). Also had to sign up for Balance Rewards for promotional prices to show in the cart.

I typically feel good about paying 41.4 cents/ounce at amazon, when they see fit to discount their blue diamond almonds.

I agree! Got a better deal a while back on Amazon - and could order the flavors I liked!

The ones that are showing 2/$5 are actually 1 for $2.99 and the 2nd is FREE (or 2 for $2.99)! Also, if you order 4 (2 of 2 flavors), the second 2 come out to $2.01, which makes it 4 trail mixes for $5!! Again, you are limited to 2 each flavor, but this makes for some inexpensive trail mixes when combined with 15% off coupon and free shipping!

When you consider the term "loss leaders" to be synonymous as "sale items", you'd realize that their purpose is for you to buy more crap from them at regular prices. That's how it works in supermarkets, and it also works when you have a "buy $xx to get free shipping" in place.

But I do agree with you. A pain in the ass.
