I was hoping to stack the 20% CLP discount on top of the 20% sale. No go. The CLP discount only comes off regularly priced refurb items. :-( Now that would have been a Slickdeal!

is a t3i a worthwhile upgrade from a t1i..

Havent really reached the limits of my T1i and was thinking the 18-135 might be a better investment(although i already have the 18-55 and 55-250).

Hmmm

Cliffs notes.
1. download linux live cd
2. boot from that cd
3. install and run gphoto2

The Canon T3i is definitely not a worthwhile upgrade from the Canon T1i unless you shoot a ton of video.

I was actually in your situation a few months ago, albeit with a Canon XTi instead. I chose to invest around $900 (actually around $650 after selling both the 18-55mm and the 55-250mm) in lenses, snapping up the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8, the Canon 70-200mm f/4L and the Canon 50mm f/1.8

I would definitely recommend getting at least the Canon 50mm f/1.8 for around $100 (you can find it for significantly less used). Although the focal length of a prime lens might feel limiting at first, the much larger aperture should allow you to explore new creative avenues in your photography.

Thanks. I couldn't make it to work on my mac though.

I'm looking for a case for T1i with the lens kit. Does anyone know if they will fit in this bag?

Deal is not totally dead, they are running a slightly different deal but ultimate prices are are just slightly higher.

I just bought a CANON rebel T3i with the 18-55mm kit lens, and also added an 50mm prime lens. They knocked off $100 and added free fedex shipping. You have to add it all up in the cart to see the discount, and the free shipping didn't come off until just past the review order screen right before you click to actually finalize the deal.

But i got both for $562+tax with free shipping literally 5 minutes ago.

Looks like this is back on, at least for cameras and kit lenses, and for cheaper than originally posted.
