(Q) Can you transfer old sim prepaid tmobile numbers to the newer micro sims? Or is that only possible with contract phone plans?
(A) Yes, just call prepaid customer service - it takes one min. (Thanks to "nikadim")
(Q) So I have a Value Plan but only regular SIM, can I buy this MicroSIM and use it with my Value Plan in a Galaxy S3?
(A) Yes, it will. With a T-Mobile S3, you will get 2G/3G/4G. If you had an AT&T S3, it would be only 2G (until the T-Mobile refarm)
(Q) What is the T-Mobile Refarm?
(A) Currently T-Mobile serves its 3G/4G HSPA+ over the AWS 1700MHz/2100MHz Band. Due to the falling out of the T-Mobile/AT&T merger, AT&T granted T-Mobile some spectrum.
- T-Mobile plans on adding a new additional bandwidth (1900MHz), to also serve 3G/4G HSPA+.
- This band also happens to be one of the bands that AT&T uses for 3G/4G HSPA+ (AT&T uses 850MHz or 1900Mhz).
- This also means that, if you get an AT&T phone (like the iPhone), you will get 3G/4G on T-Mobile's new network
(Q) When is the T-Mobile Refarm?
(A) The refarm is scheduled to begin at the end of this year.
EDIT: Actually, the refarm has already started in several major metro areas. Las Vegas has already been officially gone "live," and so has Kansas City.
They expect to have a "material" footprint of refarmed 1900 Mhz spectrum by year-end. I live in Southern California, and I see patches of 3G here and there, so they're definitely working on it.
(Q) Are there any phones that work w/ T-Mobile's current 3G/4G HSPA+ and AT&T's 3G/4G HSPA+?
(A) I can only think of 1 - the unlocked Google Galaxy Nexus - direct from Google Play. It has a pentaband HSPA+ 3G/4G chip (bands 850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 MHz)
Also, Nokia 808 PureView, N8, C6-01, 700 will support 3G on T-Mobile, At&T and International GSM providers.
Samsung Galaxy Exhibit (previously known as Exhibit II) is another Android phone that supports both networks, but it only gets 14.4 HSDPA, not HSPA+. The Nokia Lumia 710 is another one that supports HSDPA 14.4.
(Q) Make your own MicroSIM for FREE (thanks to "SlidingBike")
(A) I've cut an old (very old and expired) TMobile SIM to be micro sim. Called TMobile and asked them to update the SIM ID on my account to the cut micro sim ID (Note down the SIM ID before cutting it..) . That is. My existing SIM's phone number, account balances everything was IMMEDIATELY transferred to my micro SIM.
(Q) Does the kit include any prepaid minutes/talktime?
(A) Yes, it comes with $3.34 activation credit, which works out to about 10min of talk time. Or, if you are going with the $1, $2 or $3/day unlimited plan you get one full day of use!

Reason: deal is dead. price back to $1
So weird on the process of my order. First a few time errors. Hit back couple time and finally on last page. But it failed on 1st time order submitting. Tried again, then it asked a few question regarding my credit before finally reach got it done.
Might not worth the hassles for those small piece of card.
Chrome, then IE didn't work for me. I then went back to Chrome and disabled my ad-blocking extension, and the order went through. I don't have any extensions on IE, but I am stuck with IE8 since I choose to use XP. Not sure if that's a reason or not for IE. Just so others know, my solution was Chrome w/o extensions activated. Might even try Incognito Tab, but I didn't go that far.
