This turned out to be an issue with my firefox. Worked fine in IE.

Thanks for the clarification. I installed Crossover on my MacBook a few years ago and was not impressed but it all depends on what you need and how much processing power you have. For many applications, Crossover should be just fine but it is hit or miss with individual applications.

I'm sure there are performance improvements also. The project lead of Wine, Alexandre Julliard, works at CodeWeavers. Corporate sponsors of note include Corel and Google.
