Sorry but I had to vent about target trip. First of all I had the worst cashier of all. After scanning all my items which consisted of four Advil, 8 barilla, 2 ragu pasta sauce, 2 pull ups and three gums and rest of grocery icecream baby food etc but when I gave him the coupons he said I cannot use the two $2 Advil coupons since it states limit one then I told him to take it out since I would buy them alone if that's the case he takes them off but not from the transaction
. He then refused to take both the manufacturer coupons and target coupons saying you can't use both of them I told him yes we can but he won't budge so I asked him to scan whatever he can and I thought I would later go to the cs but still my order seemed high so after going through my receipt I saw that he hadn't taken off the Advil from the transaction ( $25) even though I asked him too also he took my barilla coupons four of them but didnt even scanned one of them so when i asked him about it and he said to go to customer service so I went there and there was the lady who is the meanest of all instead of asking the cashier she asked me to show all my stuff like I was lying and stealing I was mad but I kept my cool and showed her all my bags and then she asked me who the cashier is and what lane I said I don't know go ask yourself and then she came but dissappointed since I was right so she did the return grudgingly and when I told him that her that the cashier had also kept my coupons but didn't scan them she was so mad she went back to the cashier and return and started accusing me of using too much coupons she said I can't use both TQ and MQ for the same item I said yes I can its the target policy but she won't budge the. She showed me that I had use two MQ for the gum and one TQ for the gum and I said yes I can use since I bought three gums so I used a $1/2 and one $.75/1 and one TQ for .50 extra gum but She won't listen and even threatened me no you can't and I can deny you like she is the owner of target. Also she said the cashier was wrong since you used both ragu pasta sauce coupons for tq and mq which i cant do . She was mad at me for using too much coupons but she didn't apologized once for the fault of her cashier who hasn't taken out the Advil from my transaction what if I had not seen at that time and came back would she had believed me ?? No Never since at that moment she checked my bags how would she believe me later !!I was so mad and it was late I the night with my toddler crying since he was sleepy. I just told her to give me back my coupons and I would go home she did that but she didn't stop talking to her fellow cashier at the customer service that how this lady is stealing and cheating using both coupons and laughing and I was mad at target for not implementing their own policy training to their employees i spent $80 in that transaction but i am not going to shop target anymore i thats the way they treat their customer. Why they call us guest when they don't even know how to behave with a guest. What do you think I would have done. it generally doesn't happen In This target on weekends the cavalier and both manage are nice but this lady is always there on week days and that's how she behaves with othe too should I report her to target what you guys thinks Last edited by luckyalways123; 02-04-2013 at 09:55 AM.. dannon danimals yogurt coupon from facebook my dd only eats and drinks that , pampers & huggies diapers or pull ups, egglands best eggs coupon 0.50/1 or higher etc

That sounds unbelievably frustrating -- I am sure we have all been in your shoes one time or another and I hate that feeling.
I always try to stay sweet, I have found that except for a very few select circumstances, it is always in my best interest (and therefore IMO the best interest of fellow couponers in my area, bc we are all judged by one another's behavior) to be patient and kind even in the face of total obstinance or ignorance. Again, I've found it's always best to stay kind and calm. So many cashiers and managers are just uninformed and acting in what they think is in the best interest of the store and/or themselves. It isn't really their fault. If you have ever worked in retail and been to training you will recall there's next to NO training on how to deal with coupons. That's why there's such a huge range of approaches to it. The vast majority of the untrained adhere to some basic principles/beliefs, including that coupons cost them/their store money, most coupons are limited to one per person/per order/per item etc., and if you got something for free you used the coupon wrong. So I feel it's our job to educate them, but I always try to make them feel like THEY figured it out and not like I just proved them WRONG. Maybe instead of whipping out my copy of the policy and being like, "LOOK! RIGHT HERE!" I would be like, "Do you have a copy of the coupon policy we could read together?" Whenever I've tried something like that, most of the time they will read it to me, out loud, so eager to prove me wrong and then they will realize their mistake. Sometimes they will still try to limit how many I can use, but it's a start

Recap for Saturday, February 2
Reminder! I noticed these past few days few people raised the question regarding missed coupons, so I wanted to emphasize how important is that you check you receipt prior to leaving the store.
