TARGET THREAD RULES:

  • Do not ask (even in a covert way) for any coupon that has been scanned or discuss any coupon that is not used for its intended purpose. This goes for ALL scanned – this is what ALTERED means – this will cause this thread to shut down, per Moderator warning.
  • Do not post directly to Ebay auctions. It is considered self-promotion because the mods don’t have a way to verify if you are the seller or not.
  • Do not discuss or promote unethical and/or illegal activities with coupons or GCs (i.e. using expired coupons, using fake coupons, etc). Do not post expired coupons. Do not discuss ways to use expired manufacturer’s coupons.
  • Do not discuss ways to misuse the true intent of a manufacturer coupon.
  • Target.com has changed to the E-Centives coupon printing system where you have to download special software that keeps track of what you printed, like bricks coupons. The coupons print out directly to your printer and now have a limit of 2 prints per computer.
  • In keeping with SD rules, multiple per pages (MPPs) coupons ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED.
  • No begging for coupons allowed. You may ask where a coupon originated but that is it. Requests for Coupon Trades should be directed here.
  • Finally - Mod Alert any fighting! The mods would rather catch it in the beginning, versus going back 5 pages to see what happened.

How do I let someone know they've posted a no-no?
  • If you feel it would be beneficial and helpful to the thread as a whole, go ahead and post an answer. But if you need to correct someone on an etiquette issue or on coupon use, try PM'ing them first. That avoids embarrassment and negative posts. The mods are watching our thread closely--we want to keep things helpful and pleasant.

I have a request/new rule that will will need to be implemented in threads such as this from now on.

When you make a post you need to avoid doing a copy and paste of the work of someone else. It is stealing to copy and paste things directly from other sites such as the TT site.

We have been contacted by them and asked nicely to stop doing that.

If you see good coupons or deals just we love to have you share them with us, just be sure to rewrite them before posting.

This thread has been renewed to change the first post to the wiki and add 3 more wikis.

Here you go I hope I did it right

Maybe the cashier rung a coupon 2 times?

You got an extra $1 off somehow

And I never send my husband with coupons - it way too much work for him to save $$$

For some it's a passion to others it a pain

i have been reading every post, but still went to T unprepered and waisted lots of time.
i see it as a "learning curve"
for example, i just glanced over the deals, and did ot have specifics with DPCI# to look for correct item.

so i realy needed some nicer plastic plates and went several times to check for those items and no luck.
today I spend little more time looking at those solo plates, and found only one that was green, and when scanned it showed INF. -great right- i got one.
when i was at the register, line supervisor was checking me out, and she used her little device to find out price and inputed $2.99.
i asked her to take the item off, because i did not want it at that price, and since that was xmas item AND was showing INF already, that item WAS 90%, just lost in the stock.
SHE CHANGED THE PRICE AND GAVE IT TO ME FOR $0.30

Also out of 3 T in my area, 2 are slower with clearence that the one closer to me.
also as far as "limited stock" i learned my lesson in that field as well.
BW frame was showing limited stock- i went there, searched and found none in the isle.
next day, i was browsing SD and checked inventory for BW frames, and same store was still showing limited stock. I called ASAP and gave DPCI and girl found 2 in the back. I quickly asked for her name first, and then asked to hold those for me. She told me that the policy does not allow to hold clearenced item and i asked to check with supperior for an exception b/ i was there day before, nobody could find one, and i would be there in 20 min, and do not want an employe to "buy" while i am on my way.
she checked and got approval and i picked last 2 boxes in my area.....

hope these tips help someone

This sometimes works: Take the set to a Target employee with a PDA gun, and ask very nicely if he or she would tell you the last price on the item. (And take the advice of another SD'er here---remember their name from the badge.) At the register, tell the cashier, "____(employee's name) said the last price was $________." Good luck and let us how it goes!
unfortunately this technique doesn't work w/ seasonal markdowns. when seasonal goes INF the pda's last price will be the full price. i believe they re-use those particular dpci's.

i would go w/ the other suggestion, "My friend bought one yesterday for $4.99 and they were in the Christmas clearance section for 90% off."

Thank you all for your suggestions. I will definitely try this.

Thanks so much! I just couldn't understand why my Target's were so different than others. I had been lurking on other blog sites, turns out slickdeals is the only one I need to pay attention to! bounce

I'm located more north central. Went to 3 different stores... all 30/50, and all seem to have different clearance variety.

That's just how it is. I can be in Manchester's, Winsdor's, Newington or New Britain and find the prices are extremely different and even clearance will vary a lot. Plus this area has a lot of competition. They don't always go 70 on the same day either.

Are women's bracelets still ringing up 90% off? If so which one's are they? I remember reading a post about this but I can't find it.

TIA,
