960t is a hella-good overclocker.
With a proper cooler and mobo I got mine (which wouldn't unlock additional cores)
up to 4.2 stable with temps under load at less than 50c. I probably could push it a
bit further but didn't want to go much over 1.5 vcore even if temps are moderate.

You sure it was the CPU that would not unlock? I ran mine for a few months thinking it wouldn't unlock before I went in and tried again. After messing with a few settings in my bios it was booting with all 6 cores enabled. It's been over 6 months, so I don't recall what the setting was now. I could be wrong, but I think it was the C1E support that I had to disable. Try turning OFF all the power save features like C1E, cool n quiet, etc and enable the 2 extra cores. You can also try them 1 at a time if it still fails.
