If you don't use your tools much or do much automotive work, you should probably pass on these and get the regular ratchets you probably already have.

used and abused snap-on, maybe you can get a set for under $130, maybe... but for new or good condition, you're probably looking at $200-$240. plus the T72 1/4" ratchet is only 72t, this is 84t even for the 1/4".

Craftsman doesn't sell "professional" ratchets. They currently have four tiers of ratchets:
1. Basic raised panel 36t.
2. Full polish 36t.
3. Thin profile 60t.
4. Premium 84t.

The three lower tiers all have quick release, whereas these premium ratchets do not.

at this point in time, there isn't a better ratchet with the craftsman name on it. frankly, this is comparable to a snap-on or Matco ratchet. the only thing better might be the 120t gearwrench that hasn't been released yet.

Id really like to get the set as Ive used them in the stores but so far the made in asia 72-tooth lowes/HD/HF specials perform admirably enough that makes it harder to justify. Especially the $10 HF composite series... quite simply awesome. Still, this is a decent price for a set that I cant recall in the last two years dipping below ~$110.
