Do you game and at what resolution? Are you interested in running eytefinty? If you do not know the answer to the above questions good intro cards for around $100 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...hics-Cards http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6814127664 Last edited by GratefulLaz; 10-31-2012 at 12:56 PM.. |

7950 will cost 314ish after tax and before rebate. Subtracting rebate 20, selling the 3 games for 50, you're looking at 244ish for one of the best video cards. Not to mention the latest drivers increase the overall performance of the 7950 by 7%. Price to performance, nothing beats the 7950. Before anyone starts slamming me saying i'm an AMD fanboy, if nvidia had the same Price to performance I would praise them too. Here are some numbers for the new 12.11 drivers. http://www.techpowerup.com/review...nce/5.html |

Of course, this is only good for just barely sustaining 60fps on my single 30" screen at native and max detail and I think 8x anti aliasing. More than one monitor, it would drop down. I haven't tried the new drivers yet. Turning off fsaa is only good for getting into the 70fps level. 1920x1200 I was seeing closer to 150fps. Last edited by Masejoer; 10-31-2012 at 01:16 PM.. |

With latest drivers, HD7870 is nipping on the heels of GTX660Ti for only $185. Not bad. http://www.techspot.com/review/59...page5.html |
