Oil Change for $17.99 at Sears with coupon

These clowns.. they told me an hr so I drove over, then they told me 4 hrs. I came back today and they said 45 mins so I left it and shopped. I go to pick it up after its done and they say $28 dollars.. they said this coupon doesn't cover a new filter and also a $3 shop fee.

Knew I should have just done it at home as usual lol

funny my local ad has it for 21.99 with a different coupon number. reading this thread ill make sure there arent any additional fees for the filter rags extra. thanks op.

its hard for me today to convince back as i need only conventional oil change alone ...they give hard time to try for high mileage / synthetic oil one which 55$ + tax ...also i ask for 5$ off 25 coupon can be used any sears store ..they will give you that ...i received the same coupon on valpack yesterday

Last time I did this it took 4 hours for them to change the oil.

In addition, they broke off the plastic piece inside the car that pops open the hood (not sure how they could possibly do that). It took a lot of arguing for them to replace that piece for free and they said to come in 2 days later because they had to order the piece. I came in 2 days later and they had no idea what I was talking about. Waited & while they ordered the piece (only took 1min or less to order it!) and they said to come back next day. Next day it took them the entire day (8 hours) to get the piece fixed.

All told it took 3 seperate days and a total of ~15 hours to get a simple oil change. I've heard similar terrible experiences and never heard of someone in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area happy with sears auto service...

TL;DR = sears auto center has terrible customer service and I'd never go back. It's not worth it even if it's free because it'll take 3+ hours minimum....

I recall some previous Sears Oil Change coupons not including the filter (thereby making the base price very low).

This does not specifically mention that filter is included (or not). Are you aware if they replace that for you as well for free or if there's an additional charge?

I'm not aware, i haven't stopped in yet plan on going next week. I was just reading this thread and someone else mentioned a location charged $3 for a filter; which IMO is bull because everytime i've got an oil change filters are always included!

almost all places push stuff on you, i listen and ask questions but kindly decline thats all it takes. also if you print this out and find a non-sears shop thats not busy close by; alot of times they will honor the coupon too
