1600 does run faster but its not very significant difference, most likely you wouldn't notice. like 1-2% maybe

If you have the Citi Forward card, they have same the promotion as Discover, except their is electronic and computer purchase, which of course newegg would qualify for. It's a promo you have to sign up for from their flier...5% bonus points.

I'm trying to figure out the same, myself. The contract I jut rolled off of required me to have a vm of win7 and centos running pretty much at all times. It was absolute hell on 8gb.

I hope I wont be back in that situation again but with my work, you never know. I wonder if 16 would be a noticeable hit to battery life. Since I bumped up to 10.8, it has been horrific. At the same time though, it could be that my battery appears to be toast ("Service Battery").
