I had the regular free SYWR membership and never had Max membership before. I logged into my Sears account and went back to the Sears homepage -- saw a banner on top for "3 months Free Shipping learn more" and the link took me to a sign up page where I just checked the "I agree" box and hit "Join Max" and I was done (did not ask for anything else)
It signed me up for 3 months without auto renew -- under the Clubs page it shows:
90-day free trial membership
Your membership does not automatically enroll so make sure to join for the $79 annual membership. That's less than $7 a month!
This didn't work for me. It keeps saying I have a membership, which I don't have.
Can't figure out with CS. So I've got charged .02 and see the order in my account..
under about me in my profile there is no number a "join now" or "register new membership".
I don't have any welcome email to register. If I contact their support they just (6th time) we cant find any memebership under your email. I'm replying that becase I can't/didn't register and thats the issue and here is the order number, they again we can't find your email..
NVM, figured out.
Have to wait untill "register new membership" fully loads.. Then it says that "we see you already member, just complete few things and u good to go"
I never received anything from these people, and I'm having the same problem.. can you tell me how you got this to work? Register new membership won't even work for me, but when I go into my sears profile, it says my membership is active. So frustrating!
Edited: FINALLY figured this out..

Between impulse and action, there is a realm of good taste begging for your acquaintance..
I tried canceling mine, then signing up, but it said I was still a member. Now I'm confused what my status is. ug.
Same here. Months ago I cancelled and they sent me an email saying they reinstated it. Last I looked I think it says I'm a member even though I don't think I am. I so rarely use it (like maybe once or twice a year) that I don't really care and it's not worth resigning up and having to go through hoops and hassle to cancel. I heard if you don't cancel then they'll charge you full price without mercy, and if your payment method doesn't work they'll send it to collections.
All I know is I cancelled months ago, I saved PDFs and screenshots when I did that, and as far as I'm concerned I'm not messing with it any more. Now if Sears/Kmart.com actually had good deals that I wanted more than once every blue/green moon then maybe it would be worth the hassle.
