Not a good deal if you can buy 16GB for $200 from online retailer with no tax. 8GB is just not enough and you don't want to be stuck with OTG cable and flash drive to save less than $20. You are not going to change tablets every few months and even if you do, it won't hold its resale value like the 16GB does.
My 2011 Wins of $100+:
J&R Epiphone LP Jr Guitar, autographed
Tassimo Pot for a Bot - T45 Brewpot
Zagg's iPod a day, Touch 8GB! (retina display rocks!)
Scotts FB IWG $100 Amazon GC
Nestle Better Things in Life - $100 Sports Athrty GC
Office Depot Go Back Smarter - $100 GC[/SIZE]
I don't see how 16 Gb is some sort of magic number that will be sufficient for people. If someone is using up all 8 Gb I wouldn't be surprised if they filled up the 16 or 32 as well.
If you are a data hog, you're probably better off getting the 8 Gb and putting the savings into a long term external storage solution. If not, the 8 Gb won't be filling up anytime soon so why pay a premium?
