This is not officially a DSLR is it? The first few sentences of this [pcmag.com] review makes it seem like it's not a true DSLR.

I never mentioned the term DSLR in my OP, it was the Slickdeals moderators. I know my photography, and I know the difference between mirrorless and DSLRs.

And a lot of them are really good!!! Get a helios if you can... just an amazing lens for less than $50 usually. The Pentax M50 1.7 is a great lens for not a lot of money and I've had great luck with the M28 2.8. Amazing build quality and the images are contrasty, great color, and sharp with great bokeh too! And believe it or not, some of the Sears branded lenses are really good too.

Does anyone else get the feeling that eventually all DSLR's will be mirrorless? I've always felt like the K-01 was a test bed for it. Same lenses, same DOF output, same size sensor, and just slightly reduced body size. The competition isn't really the other tiny mirrorless cameras on the market, but instead it's projecting DSLR's into a new era.....at least that's my thoughts.

no viewfinder option for this camera unless you go with an optical one designed for a specific focal length. Some users have decided to use a loupe for the screen and they say it works quite well for adding stability in holding on to the camera without shake and for not letting the sun wash out the screen.

And no weather seals on the camera. Which is why I'd rather have the k30, but at this price, I'll just use my k5 when it's rainy...
