$100 Cash Back for Discover Sign Up (5% cash back on online purchases, 1-day shipping on Amazon)

ive been holding off sigining up for discover hoping to cash a high sign up bonus, what is the most they ever offered for signup?

I'm in the same boat. I have a Chase Freedom and thought I was fine with the rotating categories since they've been pretty similar quarterly, but this Q4 is pretty weak for Chase and extremely strong for Discover. Chase is 5% CB on Kohl's, Best Buy, airlines and hotels, when what I really want is Discover's 5% CB on online shopping. The 1-day Amazon shipping helps a lot too.

As for the sign up offer, I've been keeping an eye out on these offers too and haven't seen any past $100 in the past couple of months. I've read Discover threads where people were trading referrals to get $50 back, so this might be it.

I think I'm jumping on this one so that I at least have it from Black Friday/Cyber Monday...

if i apply through that pre-approval mail, do i still get 100$ afters spending 500$?

FYI - A lot of Best Buy stores sell Amazon Kindle gift cards. Those Kindle GCs can be used to purchase anything at Amazon. So in reality it's like we got 2 quarters this year of 5% CB at Amazon

But ya, apart from that work around I agree that this quarter more or less sucks.

FYI - If you are paying monthly interest charges, why the hell hell would you care about cahsback/rewards? You're basically paying it all back (and more) with interest
