$100 Cash Back for Discover Sign Up (5% cash back on online purchases, 1-day shipping on Amazon)

I was just about ready to get a Discovery for price protection, but then I found out through a random call from Bank of America that my Cash Rewards credit card (MC) also has this (if the item goes on sale within 60 days of purchase, they'll refund you up to $500), so I have no need to apply. I'd do it for the $200, but I'm not sure where I'd be able to spend the $1500 within 90 days.

EDIT: before anyone asks, negative on Amazon Payments (I don't want to have to give them my SSN or have a friend provide theirs so I can transfer money), and no I don't want to charge myself via Square because that'll end up being a $41 fee.

So there are no more problems with that cash back?
Want to try to get $200 cash back but no clue where to spend $1500 in 3 month. We can buy gift cards. Right?

And the link in this Thread for 100$ CB on 500 Spent seems opening fine , but i doubt the Discover will honor it and as other users have mentioned they will approve card under other offers....

Just got my $200 + $59 for purchases. Nice!

So I just called to activate my new card and was transferred to a customer service rep. They asked why I chose to open a new account, said I was interested in the 100 cash back bonus. They then proceeded to tell me that the terms that I was approved for did not include the bonus offer for my account. Yet nowhere in their terms does it say the bonus is dependent on what terms (apr and stuff) you get approved for.

I spoke with a supervisor and they could do nothing for me, so they have a manager calling me tomorrow. I'm pretty upset right now. Any idea what is going on?

I didn't do this deal but if you look at the link at the post to go to the deal , then scroll to the bottom. Terms of Cashback Bonus Offer: Earn $100 Cashback Bonus when you spend a total of $500 in purchases within 3 months of being approved. Offer valid for new accounts only; limit one offer per account. We are not responsible for merchant delays in processing transactions. Promotional rewards will be applied within 8 weeks.
If this is what you signed up for I would copy that an post it back to the CSR to prove the deal.

The link in OP is still up. Is the $100 signup cash back still valid? My feeling is that it simply redirects you to the application, and the $100 CB is well over, so you won't get it, and will have a reeeally hard time trying to get it. Has anyone tried in 2013?

The $100 seems to work, but the $200 links no longer work, sadly.

The link works, that is certain. How do we know we are getting the $100 when we follow the link? Could be just a dead web page that they forgot to remove in 2012.
