To all Starbucks employees: Can't we just get our free promo without having to worry about how much you are getting pay, etc.? I mean I still have to pay for the first drink, it's not like it's a given. Your wage is something for the company to worry about not us, customers. THANKS!
The line wasn't that long around 2:30pm @ Alameda South Shore Center, CA. Ordered 2 Caramel Brulee Latte, 1 Peppermint Mocha and a Gingerbread Latte, all iced. Will see if I can order the other holiday drinks like Pumpkin Spice, Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate, etc.
LOL, really? Or are you just being facetious? I should have tried that.
Yep, it was no problem at all. She rang it up in the system as a peppermint mocha MINUS the peppermint syrup. If the Barista wants to be a prick, I would lightly debate with her to explain how that is any different than any other custom drink. Mine was super nice, and while I don't typically tip them, I did this time based on the attitude and willingness to try it in the register.
Why do people tip at Starbucks anyways? Bring me my drink to my table, and come around to refill it and I'll be happy to tip. I'm a very generous tipper to service personnel, but a glorified fast food restaurant / coffee bar isn't on that list. I don't tip the fry guy either, am I a horrible person?
I went to the Starbucks inside Target yesterday and they told me that I could choose from ANY of the Holiday beverages, including pumpkin spice latte (which is what I got).
While I was there, I also asked if they accepted Target giftcard and (REDcard 5% off) and they do! However, I don't have a REDcard so I just used my Starbucks card.
