Two Roundtrip Flights (50k Points) with New Southwest Airlines Premier Credit Card Approval for $2000 Spent Within First 3 Months

I applied for the card this past January. I was wondering if I had my wife apply for this card now... Do you think if we spend $2,000 within a week we would get the points before the year is up? Or do they wait till after the 3 month period and then give you the points? I am about 30k points away from companion status and was wondering if I would be able to get the points this year so I can get the status all of 2013. Thanks in advance

My daughter signed up for this earlier this year and for her 50,000 points, she flew from SC to NY, back to SC, up to Boston and then flew home to SLC. She still had enough points to get her flight from SLC to Tampa and back for a cruise in Dec. She is extremely happy where she has been able to travel with her 50,000 points.

i honestly dont see a thing appealing about this credit card deal yet my GF is always begging me to apply for this for a free trip to somewhere with her, as she got denied applying to this a little while ago.

and again, I will not be applying for this card.

What is not appealing about ~$750 (after fees) of Southwest credit?

Not a slick deal at all......... Last time I got it 50K for free no need to spend 2K.
Card fees has increased too...

50K points is good for couple of round trip, depends on where you are...

While i agree that this is not as great as last years but its still a good deal. Last year's deal is last year's. Meaning not available anymore ... And for those who didnt apply last year its a decent deal IMO.

Agreed.... This card is good for gift card lovers too.... you can redeem upto $500 - $90 = $410. But I'd wait for a while..............

I was waiting for the 50k to come back again, just got instantly approved! This will be replacing my Chase Sapphire Preferred that I got at the beginning of this year (used up the 50k from that already).

If I got in for one last year, does that mean this is no go?
