Two Roundtrip Flights (50k Points) with New Southwest Airlines Premier Credit Card Approval for $2000 Spent Within First 3 Months

Its still a slickdeal. Its free money. If one actually spends an extra 2K to get this deal then they are foolish and incompetent. But if you spend the 2K as you normally would then the 50K points is a bonus. Everytime I get credit card deals with spend limits, I don't go out and spend 2K or 3K just because I have to. I would have normally spent that money. A little common sense can go a long way.

I wish I could get this, but I switch my sapphire visa to a sapphire mastercard for 40K just 3 weeks ago. For chase I believe you have to wait 30 or 60 days for a new app.

Does Chase have a limit on # of cards? Or they go by credit limits?

Nice!!! Had no clue id be approve, been trying to get a second card from chase for 2 years! Says I got approved, hope it isnt a mistake!
I have another southwest card, but I have read on other forums chase will give you the credit as long as you apply for a "different" sw card. I sure hope thats true, because I can really use the points and sure do give chase alot of business....

But does anyone have a number you can call and find out your credit limit?

I believe they go by credit limits. You can shuffle around credit to get them to approve this one.

If you dont use the CC often enough becareful because their redemptions rules sucks. if you dont have enough points to redeem towards something you have no recourse but to buy points at an insane mark up for the difference. Thats the best you can do with their points, you cant redeem for statement credit or for a check. So if you care about dispensing all your points or atleast close you have to like square your purchases to give you exactly the points you need to redeem all your points towards something. That is hard as well when you can only get 1% back on stuff i believe 2% for using SW and that only works if you travel enough. Only matters if you expect to cancel in the near future but with their spending requirements you just cant expect to use up all points. I am stuck with like $18 in points and cant use them and I need to cancel as a year is almost up.

slick why spend 2K on this card when that 2K gets more points else where ...... and still get 50k on chase...

Thank you for trying to protect our users . However, this is fine and is the same link that I got in my own email directly from Southwest, for this same deal. So it's legit.

If you fly domestic and Southwest is in your city this is a great deal. The nice thing with Southwest points is that they have no blackout AND if there is a sale that also means you use less points. For example, with 50000 points I was able to take advantage of a 1 day fare sale and am flying my entire family of 5 from Milwaukee to Orlando for a Disney trip. Normally that would be closer to 90000 points.

Do you think points will post before the end of the Year? Wondering if it's worth it to try and get companion status.
