Two Roundtrip Flights (50k Points) with New Southwest Airlines Premier Credit Card Approval for $2000 Spent Within First 3 Months

you can use these to buy tickets for anyone and the neat thing is if the price goes down and you change your ticket the extra points go right back into your account!

Anyone have experience with getting this type of deal from Southwest and know how long it really takes to get the points in your account... I'm trying to figure out when it is realistic that I could get those points and if it still gives me time to for our upcoming April trip.

I figure if I apply today I can get the card by Mid-November. Then my first cycle will be over in Mid-December at which time I will have spent $2,000 and elgible for my point. The website says allow 6-8 weeks before getting the points. That leaves me at early to mid February if the 6-8 weeks is true. Anyone know if it really takes 6-8 weeks to get the point after your reach that 2,000 mark?

Most commonly first statement after you reach spending limit. Otherwise you call & get byfollowing statement. Plenty of time b4 April!!!

When I got the card in January. I made the purchase right away and my first statement was Feb 6th I believe. I paid it right away and the points posted on the 7th or 8th of Feb. I would say the latest for you to get your points would be in January.

Is this the same deal as the other day where one can apply for a personal card and a business card at the same time to get 100k miles? 800 plus credit here and looking to start a business in a different city. The SW routes suck for me, but this would be awesome to get 100k miles if I qualify.

This card is really good though and I signed up last year for the $69 annual fee and 50000 points without having to spend a dime. Took 6 round trip flights

Denver to Phoenix 2 people round trip
Denver to San Diego 2 people round trip
Denver to Minneapolis 2 people round trip

Also that 40% off sale a little while ago was insane as far a low prices go. Have two more trips coming up.

I would wait closer to Christmas and get that with $1000 spend or no spending ties. Also does anyone know for sure if I get the Premier account ( $99 ) annual fee I will get another 50K bonus ??

Is the $1000 spending limit or zero limit coming back? Is this a yearly thing they do near Christmas? Or is the $2000/3 months the new SW credit card deal from now on? This seems like the best CC airline deal out there at the moment. Would love for a better deal to show up soon. If this it it then I guess I'll jump. How long to wait though? Need domestic travel only.

Around October last year is when they had their big promotion on this 50K bonus points. I have seen it in and out with different spending limits all year long. If you don't jump on it I would not worry, because at least the same deal will pop up or better soon enough. Also if you do not fly southwest a lot then I would head over to that Barclay's offer for the $400 statement credit after spending a $1000

The way the points work now it's very location dependent. I'm in Seattle, I recently flew to Oakland and it only cost me around 6,500 points round trip the weekend of Oct 20. If all my trips averaged this many points I could have 7 round trips. As long as you aren't flying too far away, fly out on a weekday, and it's not a holiday like Thanksgiving, and you use the Wanna Get Away Fare (or is it the Online Only Fare?), you can make a free round trip for very few miles.

If I wanted to fly to Florida it would cost me closer to 30,000 pts round trip would would only net me 1 round trip ticket. Of course the cost of the trip varies depending on when you go. I am smart enough to travel Dec 3 instead of Dec 24 like everyone else, so my miles will go farther.

I been using my Southwest Credit Card now for at least 5 years. It's not this card, but the lower tiered one that only cost $60/yr annual fee. I don't have any complaints. I love Southwest and the way their Check In actually makes a difference whereas with United, Alaska, or others, you can check in 1 hour before the flight leaves and it makes no difference whatsoever because the seats are assigned.

I got the personal and business cards (after a call to the reconsideration line) earlier this year, transferred 60k Sapphire points to SWRR, and easily spent another 10k on the cards, earning me a companion pass and lots of miles to use with my wife.

We'll be flying free throughout all of this year and next year!

So is this Dead? I am getting the Offer Unavailable. How often do these 50,000 deals come around. Trying to decide to wait for another one or just take the 25,000 offer.

the 99 charge on your initial statement is the deal killer. I would have tried this again without that. after last year's deal I cannot pay that fee
