Frys has a 47" 3D LED LCD HDTV with 120hz, wi-fi and web browser for $499.

Sorry, I wasn't able to discern the model number or brand. But for $499, this is a steal of a deal assuming it's not a Coby or something. I would show up early, these will probably be gone extremely fast!

So, out of these 2 LG is better than Panasonic?
Some people wrote here that Panasonic is thrue 120 and LG is not..., is it not important?
I tried both and the Panasonic is clearly superior in terms of PQ. Bells and whistles - I don't care much about.

Duluth GA - In stock, but only for those who obtained rain checks. When I got there 2 hours ago there were 3 left.

IN THE MEAN TIME!!!! Those who don't have rain checks can use the "in stock" on fry's website to justify a price-match from stubborn best buy that won't do so unless the item is in stock.

Also, sears TV should be delivered tomorrow.... thus I am stuck with an extra.

Milton GA is sold out, they I don't think allowed people with rain checks ahead.
Placed my order online around 10:45 am Nov 8 - picked up at Milton store. One of the Fry's label the side of the box read 1 out of five - I guess they just had 5 in stock Smilie
I'm happy got one

I was able to get a rain check for the Panasonic model. If anyone in the Los Angeles area is interested in swapping their LG for the Panasonic model, please PM me.

I went to Best Buy today in Yorba Linda, CA. Went to Fry's yesterday to get it, but they were sold out. I was able to get a quote with $489 price on it.
Went to Best Buy around 12:30pm. I asked them "How does your price match work?" and showed them copy of a Quote from Fry's and receipt that was on the first page of this board.
A clerk went to the back stock and was able to find last one, and they price matched it without a single question.
Paid $536.90 total with Tax and CA Recycling Fee.

BTW, TV is not on the ad from Fry's, so the price was good till next Thursday.

city of industry not honoring the price. saying something about having to order the tv online for the price which is dumb because the online price is $1499.

You have to come in the store to get the sale price. Frys famously not give out the current quote price over the phone.

Went to Renton frys today, called before I went in and they said they had 3 (!!). I got there and the sales guy initially said they didn't have any...awesome. He offered to go double check, and found one but it's open box and was repaired. Didn't pick it up, so go grab it if you want!

I've had an story develop trying to get this TV. My first trip to the store was to simply get a raincheck for the TV. The associate printed me out one and i was on my way. At least I thought that's what he did. Turns out it was just a quote, and when I went back to get a raincheck (since the quote expires in a week) I was told by one of the managers that they couldn't issue them on this TV. Thankfully he said he would vouch for me so i can get it at the sale price when they get more in stock. Everytime I've called this week and ask if they have this TV in stock (they don't) I am told to come in and get a raincheck for it, even though apparently you can't.

OK, no more ranting. Obviously this only applies to the Renton store since many of you have been able to get a raincheck, but anyone else that goes there should know that there's some inconsistency in their TV department.

Also, the price has jumped back up, IIRC it's $749, according to one of their sales guys.

I pretty much gave up on this , then i read your post and thought let me give it one more try. I went to frys and of course they had increased the price to $799 so they wouldn't give me a quote for 489. i told them i was there the day before yesterday to pick up a rain check per there central dispatch people and there salesman said no rainchecks for non sale items. i told them that there salesman said that the tv was going to stay the same price and that it was just a question of when they will get them back in. first manager said they couldn't do anything but another came up and she deferred to him. I said if it wasnt on sale how did it go up 300 bucks in a day guy eventually told me to save the receipt and if they get them in before the end of november he would honor it otherwise i'm out of luck. i tried to go to best buy and they said there was no date on the receipt and they would have to call to see that they(frys) have the item in stock. obviously this didnt even come close to working since the price went up and they didnt have stock.
