I'm guessing the screen resolution and battery will get dinged. If only the batter was 6 cell or more, i could live with the resolution.

I was in Frys. Worth checking out if you are on the market for a cheap ultrabook. Keyboard is very subjective but I'm guessing that fast typists will prefer the Fuj keyboard to any ultrabook except lenovo (and some of the more expensive Asus models). Fuj has rep for higher quality than Chinese laptops although in all fairness not aware of any reliability data. This is a consumer model so quality may not be as good as most fuj laptops pitched at corporations. FWIW not a looker compared to Asus but much cheaper at the moment.

Literally every mid level ultrabook posted on slick-deals gets downthumbed by trolls comparing them to non ultra books whining about the resolutoin.
When you ask them for an example of a posting with a better resolution they point to laptops that are 7.5 to 8 lbs.

Yea, the Fujitsu stuff is made in Japan. Since this is a consumer targeted machine it doesn't have their fingerprint security, I think. I use one of Fujitsu's convertible tablet pcs at work (Lifebook T731) and they are nice. Easy to mark up docs for revision with the pen that docs inside.

I think I got an email from Fujitsu about their Holiday Savings, which I think starts today or tomorrow.
