Returns Explained Credit to kasty
Returns of items that earned KC: see the kohl's thread wiki for a full explanation of the return policy Wiki Thread
Returns of items that KC was used on: a store credit will be issued for KC. (i.e a $20 item and $10 KC used, so $10 paid to original tender and $10 on a store credit)
Returns of items that a $ off coupon was used on ($10 gifts send by email/snailmail, $10 MVC cards and so on): no coupon value refunded. (i.e $20 item - $10 gift = $10 out of pocket, $10 is most refunded.)

Concerning expired KC: Expired KC will not work online. It is YMMV from store to store accepting expired KC.

Keep in mind, Kohl's Cash will still scan as a valid coupon up to two days after the expiration date.
