Good deal, much better priced than Apples cable. It's a shame that Apple decided to use a proprietary cable though instead of sticking with an industry standard. I'd understand it more if they at least put USB 3.0 or the thunderbolt cable. Oh well...

Great price, but I wouldn't put money down on pre-orders especially for the lightning cable that has some kind of embedded chip. While I've seen news articles that they've been cracked, I haven't seen anybody on macrumors.com forums confirm that they bought a generic cable that actually works. I'm taking a chance and ordered 4.
I am also waiting for my iPhone 5 as well. It's amazon.com, I trust them so it was no brainer. For those who want to flame for me supporting Apple, find something better to do. Coffee and Tea Connoisseur.

the micro-usb to lightning adapter is interesting item to have since you would theoretically need only 1 cable for apple/micro-usb devices.
it just goes to show that they could have very well used a micro-usb connector in the iphone 5. |

Everyone who is taking the risk with this cable, knowing Amazon will take it back. Will Amazon also replace your iP5 if it gets f'ed by this cable? I hope this works, but I'm not willing to put my iP5 up to save a few bucks on a phone that cost me 4+ benjamins.
