Figured I'd start a separate thread for the panny plasma's since the HDTV thread seems to be moving more towards a budget HDTV buying guide side and I got tired of reading through a lot of information about westinghouse, proscan and other budget HDTV brands.

I myself am most interested in the GT50 or ST50 models...hoping that the 55 inch GT will go under 1100 or that the 60 inch ST will go below 1000...

Note that Panasonic charges tax to most locales but shipping is free.
EastCoastTvs.com only charges tax to NJ residents.

Do your research on all sellers before placing an order.

If you are a Costco member see post 216 in regards to warranty options and differences from square trade.

I got in on the buy.com 42 inch (TC-P42U2) $299 deal a couple of years ago. I wouldn't mind a model with a clearer picture and a bigger screen.

How is that the best deal? You still pay tax and even then any EPP price on Panasonic is more than several sites like Amazon and Paul's.

What about shipping? And FYI Paul's charges tax as well depending on where you live because they have retail stores in some states.

Frys had TC-P65ST30 for 1249 in February, I got amazon to price match it with $50 for white glove included but did not buy it. How is the ST50 different?

When I bought my 50G15, it was on sale for $1399 at Amazon but I managed to get it for $1008 at a local chain in early December. The discussions about discounts aren't unreasonable.

Still going strong after 3 years of daily use and lots of Call of Duty hours. I wish they'd have added Netflix to it's apps, it was the cutoff model specifically mentioned as being left out.
