Thread Details

This thread is meant to focus on trading caps, flaps, and codes.
We can list what each member is trading,
we can list the current rates of popular trades
we can develop longer-term trading strategies that may benefit more members.
For example, when a person is one flap short for a large trade, another member could "front" that flap, then be repayed with interest (perhaps a cap?)
We could develop a procedure whereby a trusted regular could act as a mediator and hold the codes "in escrow" until the complete payment had been made to satisfy the trade.

Attention All Traders! The Rules Page Has Been Updated!

There are some new rules in effect, so please take the time to re-read the rules thread. Here are the cliff notes:
1. You need to be aware that you are trading at your own risk. This means if something happens, the Moderators cannot get involved. You need to work out any problems with the other party.

2. You cannot have "Bad Traders" in your signature. That's a personal attack, and we don't allow that here. Again, you traded at your own risk!

If you have a "Bad Trader" story, name, scenario, etc. in your signature it must be removed ASAP! You cannot portray anyone here in a negative way, no matter what! There is a current grace period, if needed, to remove your signature.

3. You need to list the actually amounts on any gift cards (CGs) or what ever it is that you are trading. There are some people who have tried to get around the $5 rule by not listing amounts or raising the stakes when PM negotiations start. There's a $5 limit for a reason, protection. Do you really want the other party to screw you out of something that cost you $25 or more?? I doubt you do, so that's why we have such a low limit. This is not a trading forum. If you want to trade higher amounts, you need to find another forum to use.

If you have questions about this, PM me or another Moderator. All of the Moderators are aware of these changes, considering we all agreed on them!!

Thank you & be safe!

I guess I've just been lucky with having great trades with people, so I don't see it as a great rule. Not a huge fan of not being able to post about bad trades either. If someone screws someone over, or several someones over, I'd want to know about it. That being said, I do see how the low risk, low reward aspect dissuades people from going to the effort to cheat people.
I know...So many great treaders here....Its amazing,,,,But
Greed and trying to be fair/ honest. Its tough. I know its a little more work for exchanging codes & such. But if someone really needs what U have and then piecemeal it out...
I can not stress this traders/sd'rs stay around the $5 rule....Its a really really good one.
And getting corn holed is not so bad then....... bt

I understand that it is probably safer not to trade high value items on this board, but you can't tell me it is safer to trade for 500 MCR points than $10 Amazon. The $10 Amazon I can deposit in my account and know right away that it works. 500 MCR points requires a lot more trust and carries more risk because there is no guarantee that those codes are going to be good a month from now.

The only issue I have ever had so far trading on these boards is trading for MCR points. In some cases I have had codes traded to me that I verified at the time of the trade but ended up being used by someone else at a later date after the trade. In most cases, the other traders have replaced the codes, but I have became much more cautious now trading for MCR points because of it.

I've personally noticed some silver caps being used when they've been in my possession the whole time. I dont keep used caps so Its not a mistaken used pile or anything.

I've had that happen too. Either someone else made an error typing in their code or were 'fishing ' for valid codes with random combinations of letters and numbers.

You too? I always thought I was scavenging from someone who also had an MCR account and just put their caps back on the bottles.
