I used up all of my points seriously a week or so before they did this last year, and I was hoping that I would have built up a lot more points since then, but sitting right at 50k now. Hopefully they will have something good again. I am really wanting to try to get a 60" tv....
Bought a 46inch Samsung led for 68k points. Retailed for $1100. Decided I wanted a model better in the store that was 100$ difference. Exchanged and paid the difference. And oh yea they credited me back all the points for some reason... so I paid 100$ for a $1200 TV.
I also returned 2 bluray players and got a kindle fire for $50 in points.
$100 iPod radio for $45 in points.
I have now saved up 177,000 points and am sure hoping to get another great run this year!
I have seen that mentioned a few times myself and have not quite understood what is going on.
That statement was not accurate. You can transfer 25,000 UR points to United to have 25,000 miles which can hardly get you across the country with such limited availability.
These points can be worth more when transferred in bulk and used for first class international travel. You can use 150,000 UR points to get a 10,000 international first class ticket but its only worth that much to you if you actually would spend the 10 grand on first class. Otherwise its not worth nearly as much.
BAH! I've never done any crafty point games, so I only have 80K points after saving for a whole freakin' year. FAILLLLLLLLL! DH wants a new camcorder and a touchscreen desktop for the kids, so I hope they do this promotion so we can snag one of them with our points!!!
