Can you point me to where people are saying this? I'll admit that I've scoffed in the past at the notion of buying 'used' rechargeable batteries, but if it looks like Amazon is just liquidating damaged packaging, then I'll jump on it.

Incidentally, I've been spending way too much time lately looking into these batteries. Eneloops are the best out there, and the Super Pack is a really good deal. If you buy *only* 12 AA and 4 AAA Eneloop batteries on Amazon, you'll save $2.65, but you won't get the charger or C/D adapters. Given that the charger in the Super Pack is, sadly, a 'dumb' charger, that's not a huge loss, but the C/D adapters are pretty darn handy for household use, and they'll definitely run you more than $2.65 if you buy them separately.

I just recieved a Used - Like new power pack and it was brand new the case and the label were a little dirty but it was sealed and zip tied. I also recieved a 8 pack of AAA from their warehouse. the package looks like it was in someones pocket but for the most part is still sealed.

I like you have spent a ridiculous amount of time researching rechargeable batteries and have found these to be the best for my needs. I use mine primarily for my photography gear (flashes, triggers) but I am starting to use them in my other household items.

I would have bought this package, but the La Cross BC-1000 came up today for nearly the same price, includes C/D adapters, and is, of course, a vastly superior charger to the Sanyo. I'll get some Eneloops to fill my flashlights and remotes (devices that tend to go long periods between uses).

Still, if you need C/D adapters and don't get them elsewhere, this Super Power Pack remains the best deal on Eneloops.

I almost jumped on that deal as well, I need another charger. but I picked up the MH-C9000 instead.

They are not used they are only listed as used because of the damage to the packaging. but thank you for your such an insightful remark.

I recieved my 2nd order of these (yes I got 2)...same deal the package was a little dirty, case was sealed. but I went one step further this time and decided to check the dates on the batteries. now I expected these to be old but here are the results.

AA batteries stored in the charger are april 2012
AA batteries not in the charger feb. 2012
AAA batteries are Jan. 2012

Looks OOS to me now...

EDIT: my bad... oos "new", but warehouse still has them...
