I contacted them and they said I have to call their customer support line.. my card doesn't include those benefits. I think I have to pay premium for it

Barclay is kind of stupid

Month 1, I spend $800
Month 2, I spend $200
On the 3rd month, I'm expected to pay $800 but my current balance currently says that I owe only $600.00. Now wtf do I either pay $1000 or $600.

I feel like the $400 statement credit is useless as fark.

Have you ever owned a credit card before?

Month 1 you spend $800.
Month 2 you spend $200
_BILL DUE for Month 1 ($800)
Month 3 you spend $XXX
_BILL DUE for Month 2 ($200)

When you say Current Balance, Statement Balance, Amount Due, Minimum Payment Due - these all mean very different things.

Also - how is the $400 statement credit USELESS? It gets you $400.

So I just got off the phone with them and they said that unfortunately it is a limitation of their system that you can only redeem your points for the charged value in full, or a partial charge only in the increments the system provides for you. There is no way to tell it you want to use 41169 points which is kind of bullshit. It says it nowhere in the terms and conditions but they said there is nothing they can do about it. However, I did get an email this morning about the extra 20,000 points though so looks like I will be putting more charges on here anyway.

Just thought I would add this... I got my card in November like the rest of us. Made my 1k purchases that month and haven't used the card since (I think I ran up like 1100 in purchases). Yesterday I got a targeted email for 20,000 additional points if I spend $500 in each month Feb, Mar and April. I know some got this offer in January (this is the first time I got this targeted offer). The title of the email is "Score 20,000 bonus points with your card."

Five people I work with all got the cards around the same time. Me and one other person got this offer, none of the rest got this one or any others.

I charged a little over $1000 on one purchase the first month and like a moron instantly applied the 40,000 points to that one charge and then had 1,000 points left over. I have since charged over $1500 more to the card and then redeemed my points to clear them all out. Then I got this email and now I'm going to have to use it some more. No problem, $200 extra in free money, thank you very much. So anyway, point is YMMV I guess on receiving this promo. Spend nothing, spend a lot, you may get it, you may not. So keep your eye out for the email, you never know.

I used the card first time, applied $1000 and redeemed my points and stop using, they never send me the email for another $200 extra.

can you tell me the wordings they used so I can search in my email to see if I overlooked.
