Blu Ray Deadwood: The Complete Series $59.00 Amazon or Bestbuy

Should say "the incomplete series" since it has the worst cliffhanger ever. Still my second favorite show of all time to Breaking Bad though.

To buy or not to buy.... just finished The Wire so we have no shows to watch on bluray in bed. Not sure I'm interested in the time period, though. And the warnings of the horrible cliffhanger are making me pause.

Nah, I'll go with post #12 that $64.99 was the lowest last year. Didn't pull the trigger in time. Wouldn't have considered it at $89.99.

Not as much terrible cliff hanger as the series just ends and there is so much more that could have been done.
I too just finished The Wire and thought it ended kind of the same way still it is #3 in my top 25 TV series all time with Deadwood being #1.It is Definitely worth a watch !

People need to start blaming TV viewers for not supporting great content in larger numbers IMO.

Battlestar Galactica would be one of my favorites as well. Mad Men, Firefly, Brotherhood (criminally underrated Showtime series), Dexter is still enjoyable, if definitely on the decline.

Still, Deadwood is my personal favorite.

I just added it to netflix, I never buy TV shows.

As much as I love deadwood, its on my boycott list because HBO would not even allow a few more episodes to finish all the open storylines. This series was cut off mid stream and paying anything to HBO just rewards this.

Deadwood is great but thanks but no thanks on selling me half a story. In case you don't know, deadwood is loosely based on historical fact and right when the series was getting to the peak of the story, HBO cancelled it and is now trying to unload the first and only half of the story.

I'm assuming here you have a disc plan...didn't HBO unceremoniously remove all their content from Netflix, streaming and disc, or was it just streaming (ostensibly to ramp up their HBOGO service)?

I agree completely. It was not anything my wife would sit through and watch with me, because of the language, but I loved the show.

Only thing I really disliked was the ending. It is wide open. Turns out, there was supposed to be a series of 2 movies made to conclude the series, but they were never made...
