I'm looking for a unlocked/unlockable GSM smartphone to save a middle aged not very tech savvy co-worker lots of $$, and this looked decent at 1st. The major drawback seems to be that it doesn't have a really good VOIP app to work with gmail calling over wifi, like android and iphones do. That's pretty essential, because it would allow her to do most calling over wifi, and only spend a few bucks a month on Airvoice prepaid to cover the calls where wifi isn't available.

is this a good price? i may get a windows phone to try out. it's cool to have your facebook pictures posted with the string "via Windows phone". damn android phones, only iphone and windows phones can have these kind of honor on facebook.

I use a nice Google voice client called as GoVoice available at the windows marketplace. Not sure about other SIP clients.
