Samsung Focus Flash Unlocked 4G Windows Phone $159 + Free shipping

Having used all 3 major platforms (IPhone 4s, Android and Windows 7.5) I prefer my Titan Windows phone I got free from the Challange over the others. There are thousands of apps available and the Windows 8 phone upgrade isn't too far off from 7.5 besides you can resize tiles from what I've seen. I also have a MS Surface tablet which is very similar to the Windows 7 phone which makes me moving to W8 a breeze since I already understand the tile layout.

Windows 7 phones are not dead in my opinion. It's like saying Windows 7 is dead since Windows8 just came out. Just my 2 cents having owend all 3 platforms.

One big advantage of the Lumina over this phone is that it works with the cheap grandfathered $3/5/6/10 dumbphone data plans. This is generally only applicable if you already have one of these plans.

You should really just ignore him. We all know that each OS has its merits and limitations. Most Windows phone users seem to be happy with the experience. Android is also a great OS with a nice ecosystem of apps, but it gets a bad rep because of the crapware and low quality phones that some companies produce. On lower end hardware, Windows phone performs better, but on good hardware (Galaxy SII, SIII, Nexus 4, HTC EVO HD, etc.), Android is very slick.

not entirely true. some areas for t-mobile now have 3G on 1900MHz frequency so those quadband phones can at least have 3G speed.

If i get this phone to use on on an monthly ATT plan do I need to purchasea a data plan? I'd like to purchase this phone for my mom because it has a bigger screen than her present phone (old motorola razr).

She justs needs to make/receive calls and text including receiving pictures.No internet or data needed.

That would be kinda pointless, wouldn't it? But really, I don't know what T-Mo's policy is. I know with AT&T once they find out it's a smartphone, they force the $30/3gb dataplan on you automatically.

I got 2 PHONES (TITAN, TITAN2) in the contest. I opened one, and gave it to my 9 year old niece (to use as a camera only). The other one was sold ASAP. Windows phone is a joke and shouldn't be the best option for anyone.
I actually replaced the w7 phone with a dumb phone. At least that has battery life
