I've never used a laptop with a number pad. I may get one for accounting glass, so I see how that might come in handy. |

Intel graphics are generally useless for gaming [literally useless by comparison], at least when compared to a Radeon or an Nvidia. |

also be sure to specify which. there are many generations and configurations of i5's and a8's and such. an a8-3500 is quite obviously less powerful than an a8-4500. [about 30% less powerful] and similar with the i5's although their numbers are a bit more deceiving, as some lower numbers are more powerful than higher numbers, or less powerful but better priced based on the power. generally though, i5's are better than a6. memory is pretty easy to upgrade, even someone inexperienced could do it with a youtube guide. |

Use this site to find out which one is better. http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobi...436.0.html |

It looks like most of i5 and a good number of i3 (!!!) generally rank above the a8 from that list. |

but i think you might find this easier to understand: http://www.cpubenchmark.net/mid_range_cpus.html unless the i5 is really old, then a8 is gonna lose out*, to compare simply cntrl f your way with a8 and i5 and you can see a lot of comparisons very easily. but dont pay THAT much attention to processing power. even for gaming processor isnt THAT big of a deal [dont get me wrong, it is significantly important] - its all the graphics card thats doing the heavy lifting. i use a a6-3400m [1.4 ghz quad core] for gaming on this laptop, and it never even goes above 50% use; its my graphics card that is buckling under the pressure. unless youre doing something really cpu intensive, you wont need to be that picky about what processor you get. ![]() Last edited by SecretlyJesus; 11-11-2012 at 10:33 AM.. |

As to that first question, though, RAM is dirt cheap. Unless you are indeed upgrading to 16GB, you likely won't spend more than $100 (including shipping). |

There is an 8GB model sold in the lenovo site. Always remember to post that you've used a code and rep.
