The keyboard does feel & look very nice, but if you've got a bunch of people around your computer, you may want to look at something quieter. People can hear me typing away with the door closed. |

Can anyone with this keyboard confirm for me if you need to have the Synapse program thing running in to order to assign the macro side keys to buttons in games? Can I just register the keyboard and then just never run the Synapse stuff?

Synapse 2.0 does have an offline and online mode, but its not something you can toggle yourself. It only goes into offline mode when it detects you dont have an internet connection, and the software reportedly locks up momentarily when transitioning back and forth. I have the Ultimate version of this keyboard with the Blue LED backlight. I have been using it all year, and love it. I replaced my Lycosa and never looked back. It was different getting used to the clicky sound when typing, but i got used to it. Great looking, and great quality.
