Went to Costco yesterday, the "sales person" wouldn't get a remote or help us tweak the settings (the Vizio was set to dark or movie setting unlike every other TV there) - looked nice tho, esp for the price.
They would not PM the Sams BF ad, and the guy was a jerk about it. He said Samswill only have 6 and pretty much ill never get one. jerks!
Go to membership, and say something.
I just started working at Costco about 2 months ago, and they don't tolerate us not helping people.
I get remotes, tweak settings, turn up the volume etc. I'll do whatever someone asks me to do that is legal lol.
I just bought the 55" Vizio from Costco for $840... all around great TV. However, I'm thinking of returning it for this 65" model. Does Costco adjust prices during the 90 day return period? E.g. if this 65" TV goes further down in price around Christmas, would Costco credit me the difference?
Wish there was a way to get the Sams Club BF deal but I will gladly pay the difference to get the TV now and not have to stand in line!
I was at C over the weekend. I could be wrong but I thought the 'regular' C price was 1299 for this (I don't think it had the 'instant rebate' line in the price tag but I could be wrong). So that should make it $1099?
At Amazon, this is $1399. Comparing to Costco, if it is indeed 1299, then add tax and shipping, and Costco's price is actually higher. No? I know about C's return policy etc and I am as much a fan of them as the next guy, but if paying with Amex you would have the 2nd year free anyway.
I would appreciate someone vetting/correcting my observations as applicable.
BTW this was the WORST looking display in the store, but I know Vizio is a good brand and no doubt they were downplaying the settings, whether on purpose or not I have no idea.
I went last night to Costco. The 65" Vizio looks fine, but it is a bulkier design around the screen. Whereas the Samsung is sleek and has very little plastic border around the edges of the screen, the Vizio one is quite pronounced. Also Samsung model will be going on sale for Black Friday (online only), so the difference between the two sets will be around $200.
Which Samsung model is going on sale? I would love to buy a 65 inch Smart LED/Plasma tv for under $1200
I havent seen too many BF ads for tvs over 55 inches
