Is this LED lit or old fashioned bulb lighting?

I know when I bought my Samsung DLP I specifically took it over the Mitsu because the Samsung was LED lit.

Why would someone purchase this over a projector? ( serious question )

Is it because the room is too small to project the image at the desired size?

Hey I own that TV Stand for mine, I absolutely love it, and only $40!

http://i49.tinypic.com/30kqbmq.jpg
I am interested in this tv but my nook to put it in 71 inches wide by 23 inches deep. Per the specification on Paul's site the depth will fit but not the width (but it says specs with stand; I dont need the stand and am hoping the stand increases the width spec). Can anybody that owns this set measure the actual width to see if I really need 73+ inches or will it squeeze into my nook that is only 71 inches. If it is 73 how deep would I need 73, could; i.e. could I pull it out of the nook 2 inches and the rest would fit? thank for any help you can give.

Can anyone comment on glare? I've got a 58" Sammy plasma and the glare is hideous. I can't do anything more to try to contain the light leaks coming from the right side of the room (a wall of windows) without infuriating the wife.

I know it's never "good", but is it at least tolerable?
Does this answer your question?

You will not notice glare on a DLP like you will on a plasma. I'm quite satisfied with my DLP, picture quality is amazing.

Do you not notice any glare on this DLP?

Because I cant dim the room enough for a projector, no place for a screen, and the dlp set works just fine in regular sunlit room viewing.

Its also cheaper than most projectors that could be used in similar lighting, requires no mounting of a projector and running of wiring up to it, has excellent 3d and picture quality, and about the lowest cost/sq inch and lowest energy use/square inch among televisions.

Unless you have a problem with the size or are just stuck on a thin screen, I honestly see little reason to look elsewhere. Had the 73" version of this (the 82 wouldn't work in my room) for over a year and have loved every minute of it.

Since I have a directv box, xbox 360, ps3, wii, receiver, routers, cable modem, an htpc, etc...having a 22" deep set wasn't really any sort of problem since I already needed a huge cabinet stand to hold all this stuff.

I do have a DLP projector, but haven't used it in a year.

22.7 inches deep, same as lcd with stand

have yet to see anyone mount a larger lcd tv on a wall

am going to say it, dlp is the best tech at 60 inches and larger

the lcd guys wont tell you this but lcd response time rises rapidly and motion

blur becomes terrible at these sizes

motion blur means your moving picture is blurry and is not hd anymore
Here is my conference room at my office. I mounted two 80" Sharps (LC-80LE632U). We have two smaller conference rooms and we wanted to get one more for each room, but they're getting difficult to buy from on amazon.

I got super excited when I found this mitsubishi, just wish I could wall mount it Frown Looks great though

Heyya, That's a 73" on the left, and a 65" on the right!

As far as a center channel speaker, I actually have my center speaker in front of my TV on top of the stand... you can barely see it in that picture!

So yes it does have room
Awesome thanks..that's what I wanted to make sure.

I got it delivered on Friday; June 29th.
Everything working fine. I had played PS3 games on it; watched regular and Blu-Ray DVDs - awesome picture - poor sound; but I have Sony AVR that took care of that. I did not try 3D as I do not have glasses.
Picture attached.

Stand is from IKEA Link: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog.../50138137/ [ikea.com]
Best 3D glasses for this DLP TV are Xpand X103 found here: LINK:http://www.amazon.com/Xpand-X103-...words=x103 [amazon.com]
I also got 4% Cash Back ($54) trough Mr.Rebate.com.
I could not be more pleased.
Check for firmware update! There is 13.06 out there. Good luck.

What kind of audio output does it have?

I'm using 1/8 jack to connect my current TV to my amplifier.
