Costco B&M stores have the Currie Technologies E750 Electric Scooter in stock for $269.99. Item number is 634853 "Scooter"

I believe it is the red version too, not the silver/grey version.

It's got some pretty good reviews on Amazon [amazon.com] and they have it for (currently) $336.01. Hope this is slick and have a happy holiday!

It says it only goes up to 15 mph so I doubt it. You wouldn't be going very far, so it would be like a normal kids scooter

That's not true. Not true at all. I've been riding these things for over a decade. There's no gray area. There are very specific rules for this. The actually number is 25 MPH. It also cannot be over 1000 watts. You must be over 16 and wear a helmet. Other than that, the same laws that apply to bikes apply to this.

Saw this in Costco today and am going to get it for my son for xmas. He is 13. What's up with this 16+ years thing? I will make him wear a helmet, but he'll just use it around the neighborhood.
