But sometime regular none-refurb ones go for just $5 more and you get additional 9 months warranty. I am still waiting for a sub $100 dollar price for the 1TB media hub deal. Better bang for the buck IMHO.

Yes.. any movie. Even supports mkv files as well.

Yes, but you wouldn't really be "streaming"... you'd just be playing off the usb drive through the HDMI out to your TV.

I am getting this one for my dad. He has a laptop that only has a VGA and his HDTV for some reason is missing the VGA connection that every other HDTV has, so there was no way to play movie files on his TV.

TAKE THAT SHT DOWN! The WDTV Live HD Media Player was released in 2009. The WDTV Live Plus was released in Summer 2010. The WDTV Live Hub was released in Fall of 2010. The WDTV Live Streaming Media Player was released in Fall 2011.
