I'm seeing bad reviews about washed out colors? Can anyone else confirm?

Just got this for $95 at staples (they have a $15 off coupon on the front page today). I'll plug it in later to see how the colors are.

Sorry it took me so long.. So got it for $95 which is a great price, and really torn on what to do. First, this would make a solid regular monitor for basic use. I think the contrast looks best in the preset 'movie' setting. And of course, 1900x1024 is it's preferred resolution. I find it extremely usable for every day use if I raise the monitor up (using books to prop the stand) where my eye-site is in the middle. Also, during game play - it works even better and fast action is very easy to see.

The part that bugs me is the viewing angle. For example, if I fill the full screen with any color (black, red, etc.) the color is different throughout because the viewing angles are different. Because I program a lot where I have a constant background with a lot of text, I fear this would put strain on my eyes over a longer period of time. I still have the analog cable in use - tomorrow I'll borrow a DVD-I cable to see if that helps - but could the signal help with the viewing angle, or is that just a panel trait?

Anyways, I hope this helps some people. If this was solely for my wife or other family members it would be a bargain and I actually may end up keeping it because it looks good for things other than programming.
