I don't know about any secret lists, but here is one list I found and nothing to write home about. So unless you have one of the paid streaming service or like to watch 'Shamu Cam', it doesn't seem to be that great. If there is some 'secret' list of super great channels then I'd like to know what they are.

I have had bad luck with refurbished products in the past, but I would like a Roku XS, and the only sale seems to be on refurbished editions. Any feedback from the SD community on owning a refurbished edition and how your luck has been with it?

I bought a refurbed XDS model a couple years ago and recently bought a refurbed XS model on ebay. Both works like new.

My two cents, as posted in most of the Roku posts, is spend the extra $10 on the XS model. Its worth it for the ethernet port and the remote. The RF remote on the XS is awesome, while the regular remote I have for my Roku 2 HD (which appears to be the same as the one with the XD) is utter crap in comparison. The RF remote works from anywhere within 30 ft of the TV, the other remote needs to be pointed directly at the Roku to work. Plus its too small, very skinny.

I even paid $30 bucks for a spare RF remote thinking I could use that on my HD (I know, not very SD, but it's that much better than the regular remote). But I didn't research it enough and it doesn't work on the Roku 2 HD model.

The XS is a much better model than XD. Thumbs Up on this deal. I wish I would have waited for this deal!

I haven't used it because I'm grandfathered in since I had YouTube channel installed before Roku pulled it. Those that already had it installed got to keep it.

Why get this over a WD Live refurb for the same price? Why 12 TUs? Cause its a paid promotion again! FP here we come....

I post in all the Roku threads that if you are going to buy a Roku, buy the XS model, no matter what the price difference is, it's worth it.

I have two Roku XDS, one Roku 2 HD, and one Roku XS. I have no complaints on the XDS, but the new Vudu channel isn't supported on the older models, and Vudu is pretty sweet.

This is a great deal, I'm trying to figure out a way to justify another XS to replace one of the XDS units!
