Edit: It is on the left hand side of the last page. I didn't even see it! "Save $600" Haha ridiculous price. 2nd Edit: It's a deal which starts at 8 PM on Thanksgiving day. That means people will be lining up on Thanksgiving, during the day, for it. Not worth it to me. Last edited by Epoch0; 11-08-2012 at 12:56 AM.. |

You can see the item number of the Sears model in the ad: 05775412. When you search Sears, it comes up with a Panasonic Plasma:

Bought this TV from Fry's for $499 in July. Was shopping for a plasma because I wanted best bang for the buck and since my TV watching is primarily viewing sports, I felt the 600Hz refresh would give me the best picture without motion distortion. When I saw the Toshiba 50L2200U, I took a shot even though it was only 60Hz. I realized when I got it home, it was a great decision. Beautiful picture. No motion distortion watching sports. Uses substantially less energy than even the most stingiest of TV's...I read where its like a ridiculous $12.50/yr. For a BF sale price of $400 or $300, you will not find a better value in HDTV. It's a Toshiba...not an off brand for that price.
Get a Costco/Squaretrade 3yr warranty for $29 and have this sucker guaranteed to work for the next 4 years. Use the following settings (not the factory)... Contrast 60 Backlight 100 Brightness 58 Color 50 Tint 0 Sharpness 0 Dynamic Contrast Middle Static Gamma 1 Color Temp Medium Cinema Mode Film DNR Middle Picture Size Native Best settings I could find posted on avs forum...done by a technician with calibration equip. This is the TV I want for sure. But going to Best Buy on Black Friday (now Thursday) is about as appealing as a root canal. Since I won't waste my holiday waiting in line all day, I feel like I have zero chance at getting this in the store. Maybe I can score one online.
