I tried to get one. They weren't handing out tickets for it, but it was sold out by the time I got to the electronics section.

I was about to go to bed after being up since 8am and I decided to call a few BBs for the hell of it. The girl who answered at the last one I called said they had at least 5 of the 50" Toshibas left. I said "Are you sure...because my store sold out instantly, it's going to take me 25 minutes to get there, and I can barely keep my eyes open." She assured me that they had them but they wouldn't hold anything for me.
Fast forward 25 minutes and a turnpike toll later...I run to the HT department only to be told that they sold out of them hours ago. I go find the girl I talked to on the phone and she said her stock system was showing 11 total in stock. Of course she radios somebody and they tell her the stock system is behind. Stock system is behind. No TV. Nothing. Steaming mad. |

I don't know what the fuss is about with this deal, but I got mine and only paid 3 bills at sears...=D

Price for this is now $799 online. Yet it's still listed under their 3 day sale. Game over.

Anyone who got theirs, did you notice with the Toshiba 50" is the wobbly stand/base. I secured it but the TV wobbles and based on my google search it appears others have noticed this with the tv and other Toshiba models.
Not sure what I should do as I'm afraid tv may fall if some external pressure is exerted. Also, I notice the TV slightly angled, not sure if that is the case with everyone, it's very slight. |

yeah i did but it's pretty wobbly, have you tried moving the tv , it wobbles on the base

In regards to your "wobbly stand" question, I suppose it isn't necessarily the best of stands, but since it is a wide one and I have it on a very secure placing, I get little movement. Not sure what kind of TV placement you have, but I suggest you might consider upgrading the furniture you have the TV on top of. Not all entertainment furniture is created equally. Place the TV on a secure table, like a heavy dinner table and jump around. If the TV doesn't move then it's your placement. Good luck. |

I went to BB at 2:15 am on Black Friday. Just to see what they had... Of course, they state they are out of ALL the great deals. BUT... The assistant stated that IF they would have any left, they would drag them out into the store and have a death match, LOL. I was walking around and saw about 10 people standing in line at the CSR desk. Just standing there. I decided to join them and at 2:55 am, the manager came out and asked each one of us what we were there for. I of course asked for the 50" Toshiba for $399. Yes Sir, I have 1 left, the person did not redeem their bracelet for the product...SWEET! This is by far NOT the best TV for $799-$899 but is AWESOME for the $399 I paid for it.
