Just doing a comparison with T-Mobile's GSII from Walmart.
T-Mobile is HSPA+ which has equal download speeds and faster upload speeds than Boost/Sprint WiMax 4G. T-Mobile wins. Walmart has been offering it for $300 for two months. Who knows if BF will be even cheaper. Tie or maybe T-Mobile wins. T-Mobile is GSM and works in almost any country. I have used mine in at least a dozen countries without even changing the SIM card or reprogramming. CDMA is mainly USA and Canada T-Mobile wins T-Mobile offers $30 per month for 100 minutes, and unlimited text and wifi. If you are in a 4G area, you can get free VOIP calls with Vonage that makes it essentially unlimited talk. You can also get unlimited everything for $50 per month. Boost is $55 per month for unlimited everything. T-Mobile wins In sum, Boost BF deal is not a deal. |

The issue with Tmo unlimited everything for $50 is you only get 200MB at 4G speeds. That's a major thumbs down. With Boost you get 2.5 GB. Plus boost has shrinkage plan so you could end up paying $40 for unlimited everything with an android phone.
I think the SGII for $300 at boost mobile will be the cheapest its been and a good deal. The only question is...Is boostmobile.com having its own black friday deals....like 25% off phones or even better 50% off phone then they would really sell SGII phones. |

T-Mobile has the worst overall reception as compared to the other large carriers, and The T-Mobile offer isn't for unlimited voice/data like Boost. I, like another guy on this thread, got the "shrink plan" deal before the $5 android increase and will be paying $35 (no tax) in a couple of months for unlimited 4G service. I went from Verizon (so I know good reception) to Boost (Sprint) over a year ago, and have had exactly 1 dropped call. For guys like me, the BB deal is good. Not great, but good. I was actually hoping the HTC Evo Design 4G would drop below $200 to a BF deal of $179...that's the deal I'm looking for... |

I work for Sprint Prepaid Group. The person at the Boost Mobile store is absolutely correct. The rep is wrong.
If you stay with the current Prevail at the $35 monthly price plan or switch to another Prevail, then your plan will stay the same - $35 (the grandfathered plan). If you change the Prevail to ANY other android phone (such as the Samsung Galaxy SII), then the plan will go to $40 Android at the NEXT billing cycle date. At the time of handset swap, no additional payment needs to be made. $40 is the lowest plan all New Androids can go with shrinkage, and it has been this way since last year when the ZTE Warp came out. |
