iPad mini - Order over the phone from MacMall and receive FREE Overnight shipping - 16GB WiFi - $329

sounds like you got lucky, they would only give me overnight if i bought applecare.

They charge tax for me in NY. I called yesterday and the only special offer they gave me was a $20 discount on AppleCare with my iPad mini purchase.
I went with a site called PowerMax.com instead since they don't charge tax for NY orders and they had his $10 off code for first time shoppers. It was shipped via UPS Ground though so it's taking 7 days to arrive.
The 16GB seems to be sold out everywhere so I wanted to not have to pay tax if I was going to order online and not be able to use it immediately. Now I'm not sure if I would've paid the tax for overnight. The need to have it in my hands kind of disappeared after going to 2 Apple stores and none of them having stock. Glad to see you live in an area that MacMall ships to do no tax and got the overnight shipping.

Yeah, they offered that too but since I purchase all my electronics with AMEX I never buy extended warranties. I paid $329 and it was in my doorstep 18 hours after ordering. You're right. Maybe a fluke on their part.

The shopping cart makes it hard to determine sales tax without creating an account, but I believe that MacMall charges sales tax in CA, IL, MN, TN, and WI... Still might be an okay deal since every Apple store I've checked is sold out of white iPad Minis.

I am on mine right now and I absolutely love it. Got mine at target though

Cause a lot of time you can get discounts & tax breaks that isn't available on Apple.com esp since their is an Apple B&M in most states but not a MacMall in every state...

Let alone apple is showing 3 weeks as estimate shipping time and my niece's birthday is thus weekend.

The estimate shipping time is always wrong. But you still won't receive it this weekend if it is from apple.

Ordered... they wouldn't give me the free overnight shipping, just ground parcel

Edit... The OP must've just got lucky. My order confirmation says they shipped it via UPS ground. They also said it wasn't eligible for shoprunner... which is odd considering there aren't any listed restrictions, especially when shoprunner advertises it as being UNLIMITED
