I never do Black Friday, but all this BS about having to cut family time short is really, really lame. If you want to spend time with family, why wait for one day in a year to do it? People don't think about putting in the effort the rest of the time. It's like with V-Day...

If it's a 60htz I'll pass. Time for me to do some BF deal homework. I could use a couple of tv's for the bedrooms.
For those looking for an easier way to do BF at sears for some of the deals search out a "hometown" sears store. I've done this for several years. They are overlooked. Little to no line. There were 4 of us the past 2 years and they did hand out tickets for the popular items to us. Something else to check out is the sears reward card. Basically you earn points that convert to cash off a future purchase. I roll the points on last years deal to off set the cost of this years. |

Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. All the other times someone is always absent because of work etc. Yes sometimes we get everyone together but getting 12 different people to take off of their full time jobs at once isn't an easy task. Especially when some of us own our own business. Waiting out for 12 hours to save $150 just doesn't make sense. Go and do some landscaping for 8 hours and make $100 cash. I'd be willing to wait 2-3 hours and maybe save some. The ONLY time I've waited out overnight was when I was a poor college student - waited from 10pm until 8am for xbox360. Spent $424 on it and ebay'ed that sucker to paid most of the balance of my fall tuition. Sold it for over $1200 that same morning - Netted like $700 in 1 night - which is WELL worth it. So does anyone know (or have an idea) of how the 2 separate door busters work?
Will the store close at like Midnight or so? And let a line re-form (if there hasn't been one already?) EDIT: Never mind. The ad says that the 8PM door buster is open all night. So how will this work? While people are running around the store shopping from 8PM-3:59AM, there will be a separate line waiting for the 4AM door busters? Any insight would be greatly appreciated! |

Seriously?? A hometown store? Thanks for this info! I have one about 20 miles from me!!

You'll arrive at Sears, locate the line for the item you want, and wait for the time to come. The real problem comes with the 8:00pm 50" LED that everyone will be after, considering there are multiple entrances, and if the signs aren't up, how do you know which door to camp at? And if the signs ARE up, chances are, you're not first, so you won't be getting that TV. Last edited by Vertical; 11-09-2012 at 05:30 PM.. I think I will go to mine tomorrow and just look around for TV's. Maybe find a nice guy that will give me some info! Won't hurt to try! |
